  • Ronan Daniel
  • 5 mai 2025

The Korean version aims for trains traveling at 1200 km/h using magnetic levitation and low-pressure tubes. Despite China's earlier MagLev launch in 2021 and Japan's delayed Shinkansen Chūō, South Korea's expertise in electric motors, low-pressure tubes, and superconducting electromagnets positions it competitively. Prototypes will be tested until 2037, targeting Hypertube service commencement in 2038.
