Le Domaine du Liziec : nouvel hôtel de charme à Vannes

🏠 Philippe and Laurent Davalo opened the Domaine du Liziec hotel in a 16th-century Vannes mansion, surrounded by over 6 hectares. It features 71 rooms designed by architect Arnaud Blanchard and various gardens. Olivier Samson, renowned for his 13 years at La Gourmandière, leads the culinary experience, including a brasserie and La Table du Liziec. Amenities include a 300㎡ spa with Ella Baché treatments, a fitness room, and two meeting rooms.

Des JO d’hiver écologiques et économiques

🏂 On July 24, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) awarded the 2030 Winter Olympics to the French Alps. The National Association of Mountain Resort Mayors (ANMSM) celebrated the decision, pledging eco-friendly and economical games. The event will take place from February 8 to February 24, 2030, using 95% pre-existing sites. The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Sud-Provence-Alpes-Côtes d’Azur regions had submitted a joint bid, with over 100 stations responding. Their bid was accepted with conditions, including financial ones.

Cacao Barry inaugure ses locaux rénovés

🍪 On July 4, Cacao Barry (Barry Callebaut group) inaugurated its new global headquarters in Hardricourt, Yvelines, hosting 250 professionals. After 18 months of renovations, facilities include a 200m² "Expérience Cacao Barry" area showcasing the brand's history since 1842, an 800m² Chocolate Academy with a 170m² training lab, a fully-equipped demo room for 50 people, and an exclusive 140m² space for Or Noir, a custom chocolate creation service. Anne Widart, director of Barry Callebaut France, praised the overhauled premises.

Transgourmet met en route 10 poids lourds électriques

🚗 Transgourmet, a subsidiary of Swiss group Coop, accelerates its decarbonation strategy by deploying 10 custom-designed 16-ton electric vehicles in collaboration with Renault Trucks. Four vehicles are already operational in Île-de-France as of July, coinciding with the Paris 2024 Olympics. Committed to a 'From Words to Deeds' sustainability plan, Transgourmet aims for carbon neutrality by 2050 with over 50% of its delivery fleet to be powered by alternative fuels or engines by the end of 2024, increasing to 70% by 2025. The electric trucks, chosen for short distances and urban centers, cut greenhouse gas emissions by 94%, reduce noise pollution, and comply with low-emission urban accessibility requirements. The launch includes installing electric charging stations at various premises.
