🏠 Chef Stéphane Renaud opened Hôtel LES PRÉS in April, located in the Orne region, two hours from Paris, near Mortagne-au-Perche. 🏠 The Park Hyatt London River Thames, Hyatt Hotels Corporation's (NYSE: H) luxury hotel, has opened in Nine Elms, southwest London, marking Park Hyatt's debut in the United Kingdom. With an exclusive Thames riverside location, the hotel offers 203 rooms and unparalleled views of London landmarks. It is adjacent to the popular Battersea Power Station, within walking distance of over 200 hectares of green space in Battersea Park, and close to attractions like Kia Oval and Tate Britain.

🏦 Acquisition includes 4 assets in Saint-Étienne: Novotel Centre Gare Châteaucreux (4-star, 77 rooms), ibis Budget Centre Gare Châteaucreux (2-star, 84 rooms), a commercial space operated by Au Bureau, and ibis Budget Saint-Étienne Stade (2-star, 59 rooms). HERA Invest, with 9 hotels across three regions, eyes expansion in the French hotel market and plans a new 81-room ibis Budget in Auxerre, opening in spring 2025. 🏨 In Lagos, Algarve, two hotels are being constructed: the five-star Lagos Marina Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, and the four-star Hilton Garden Inn Lagos, scheduled to open in 2026. These add to four ongoing Mercan projects in the region. The construction phase will last about two years, creating 150 jobs, with 188 further jobs expected once operational. The Lagos Marina Hotel will have 180 rooms over 14,776 square meters, while the Hilton Garden Inn Lagos will offer 90 rooms over 7,505 square meters.

🍴 In April, the Royal Mansour Casablanca reopened with Eric Frechon's French restaurant, La Brasserie. Following its success, General Manager Jean-Claude Messant entrusted Frechon with a second establishment, La Table, at the newly opened Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay on Morocco's Mediterranean coast. La Table offers a menu combining French, Japanese, and Moroccan flavors.

The resort's 185 rooms and suites, as well as restaurants and bars, have been updated to reflect a contemporary design with vibrant, island-inspired details. The east coast location boasts pristine beaches and combines the island's rich culture with natural beauty for both couples and families. The renovation includes new sensory culinary experiences and artistic narratives in each room, aiming to merge luxury, adventure, and relaxation. General Manager Gregory Coquet emphasizes the resort's transformation into a chic tropical playground.

🏦 CapitaLand Ascott Trust (CLAS) in 2024, gears up its portfolio by acquiring Lyf Funan Singapore for €184M, marking its third acquisition of the year. Previously, CLAS completed the acquisition of Teriha Ocean Stage in Fukuoka, Japan, with an estimated net operating yield of 4%, and bought a remaining 10% stake in Standard at Columbia in South Carolina, USA, aiming for approximately 7% EBITDA yield. Meanwhile, CLAS sold six mature properties for €238M, realizing gains of €29.4M, and recently divested Citadines Karasuma-Gojo Kyoto for €38M to Hilton Grand Vacations.
