Le marché de l’insolite continue de croître
🏕️ On December 3, the "3rd edition of the Observatoire de l’Insolite" was held by Groupe Unic Stay and Cabinet Alliances in partnership with Oise Tourisme. The unusual accommodation sector saw a 30% increase from 2023, reaching 2,226 professional sites in 2024, with Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (17%), Nouvelle Aquitaine (15%), and Occitanie (12%) leading in offerings. Business volume in 2023 hit €430 million, up 65% from 2021, with 1.2 million overnight stays (+46% from 2021). The average basket for cabin stays rose 18% from 2019 to €301. Water cabins and Tiny Houses saw significant demand increases, by 73% and 204% respectively compared to 2021. Despite growth, market maturation is noted, slowed by urban and climate constraints and lack of public funding.
