With the advent of American hotel groups and management agreements, the GM role shifted to fulfilling the brand's values and satisfying the owner, even amidst concerns about costs and standardization rigidity. The brand used to have control over GM recruitment, standards, communication, pricing, and procurement. Now, there is a paradigm shift with the owner regaining influence, especially as management contracts become more fragile and the franchise model grows.

🎮 Parc Astérix, celebrating Asterix's 65th birthday, reached 65 million visitors since opening in 1989. In 2024, the park set a record with 2,842,000 visitors. On April 9th, Lexane, a 12-year-old from Thouaré sur Loire, was the 65 millionth visitor. She, along with her family, was greeted by a Gaulois and enjoyed privileges like meeting characters, unlimited ride access, premium show seats, a meal at Les Fastes du Nil, and a private ride.

A well-rated property can justify a 5-10% price increase for 45% of travelers. Responses to customer reviews sway 68% of travelers, with 87% influenced by the nature of the response. However, 32% will immediately look elsewhere after a single bad review. Positive reviews account for 48% of all feedback, while only 10% are due to issues. With summer 2025 bookings approaching, maximizing and managing reviews is crucial for revenue growth and competitive differentiation.
