Éclairage | Hôtellerie vs Casinos, le Groupe Barrière sur le fil stratégique
🎰 Grégory Rabuel, director of Groupe Barrière, warns that opening online casinos indiscriminately could result in a loss of 15,000 jobs. The French family-owned group operates 34 establishments, holding nearly 30% of the French market and generating 70% of its €1.4 billion revenue from casinos. The group invests almost €100 million annually in its casinos, hotels, and restaurants. The hotel brand Fouquet’s aims to double its portfolio internationally, facing stiff competition from newly renovated hotels like Le Carlton and Hotel Martinez in Cannes, and Hotel Raphaël in Paris.
