🏦 The Westin Paris Vendôme, owned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's Dubai Holding since early 2023, will close on April 31, 2025, for renovations. Reopening is not expected before 2028. In 2021, a social plan led to 167 layoffs. The renovation costs for the 1878-built hotel are estimated at around €1 billion. Speculations suggest Jumeirah or Accor might become the future operators.

🏦 The SCPI Novaxia NEO, managed by Novaxia Investissement, acquired a 103-room hotel in Dresden, Germany, spanning over 5,700m². This purchase has a 7.61% yield rate with a long-term lease of over 15 years, signed with a leading hotel operator. Novaxia NEO, the first SCPI of the new generation, aims for a distribution rate (not guaranteed) of over 6% for the fifth consecutive year, positioning it among the top-performing SCPIs since its inception in 2019. The investment strategy combines performance with resilience for its investors.

🏨 Barceló Hotel Group expands in Germany with the upcoming opening of the Occidental Dresden Newa, a four-star hotel in Dresden's historic center. The Occidental Dresden Newa, formerly Pullman Dresden Newa, near the central station and city center, features 319 rooms to be fully renovated by 2025. This second Barceló property in Germany aligns with their Central European growth strategy. Dresden, known for baroque architecture and historic sites, attracts tourists to its Frauenkirche, Zwinger, and Semperoper. Barceló operates 11 hotels across 6 countries in the region. José Ramón Alvarez-Cervela Rodríguez, European Director of Barceló, emphasizes Europe's strategic importance for expansion due to its tourist potential.

🏨 H World International acquired full rights of Zleep Hotels in August 2024, targeting economic segment growth. Dissolved joint venture with Danish partner; Zleep Hotels operations in Denmark to cease by end of January 2025. First Zleep Hotel in Germany, at Frankfurt Airport in Kelsterbach, to open in Q1 2025. Oliver Bonke, CEO, mentions brand expansion in Europe over the last two years including in Madrid, Prague, Lausanne, Zurich, with plans in Hamburg, Leipzig, Göppingen. Partnerships include Säntis Home, Penta Real Estate, Commerz Real, Nemis Hotels; agreements for ten new Zleep Hotels signed.

🏨 Milan's historic "Sheraton Diana Majestic" hotel, managed by "Marriott International," closes after the building's real estate owner decides not to renew the contract. The closure directly impacts 50 employees, who now face unemployment. The building is set for major renovations, with its future purpose—whether as a hotel, apartments, or offices—remaining uncertain.

🕊 Hyatt Hotels Corporation partners with Veda Hospitality Private Limited, a subsidiary of the Golyan Group, to manage Hyatt Regency Lumbini in Nepal, marking the fourth Hyatt-branded hotel in the country. The hotel will span 4 hectares, offering 175 rooms, various dining options, event spaces, and amenities including a state-of-the-art fitness center, a wellness spa, an outdoor pool, and more. Lumbini is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the birthplace of Buddha, drawing global travelers for its cultural and spiritual significance.

🏠 Hampton by Hilton Rome St Peter’s and Doubletree by Hilton Naples Oriente to join Hilton's Italian portfolio of 99 active and developing hotels, including Anglo American Hotel Florence, Santa Teresa Sardinia, and Hilton Garden Inn Milan Malpensa. The Hampton, with 124 rooms, will be the first of its brand in central Rome, opening March 2025, near the Vatican City with on-site gym and meeting rooms. The first Naples DoubleTree by Hilton also set to open in Spring 2025.

🏛 Le Negresco, a historical monument since 2003 and a living heritage company since 2015, begins a transformation from November 4, 2024, to May 2025. The Promenade des Anglais façade, initiated in 2020, is being restored by the Architectes des Bâtiments de France. The hotel's 1913 Belle Époque statues and a Miles Davis statue will be returned to their spots by May 2025. 12 new rooms and suites will be renovated by master artisans and the hotel's Compagnons du Devoir upholsterers. A new 400 m² suite with a 200 m² terrace will open in May 2025 on the private 6th floor, the former residence of Jeanne Augier.

🏨 Groupe 3A Hôtels La Collection unveils the Résidence Aston La Scala, opening end of November 2024 in Nice, France. The establishment, dating to 1908 and renovated for luxury, is located opposite Promenade du Paillon. The building, inspired by New York's Flat Iron, features a triangular shape and five-windowed rotondes. The six-story edifice offers 17 art-deco style apartments accommodating up to four guests each, with terracotta, ocre, and blue petrol hues.
