🏨 IHG Hotels & Resorts, in partnership with NOVUM Hospitality, launched three Garner hotels in Germany, marking the brand's European debut. The hotels, totaling 307 rooms, include Garner Hotel Hamburg Nord (100 rooms), Garner Hotel Elmshorn (75 rooms), and Garner Hotel Augsburg Nord (132 rooms). These openings are part of a conversion agreement aiming to introduce over 50 Garner hotels across Germany, with plans for Holiday Inn and Candlewood Suites as well. Garner brand offers mid-range accommodation focused on essentials and comfort at an affordable price.

🏠 In Dakar, the prestigious Terrou-Bi hotel is undergoing a total renovation, set to introduce a modern business center and luxury suites with ocean views by 2026. Aimed at enhancing guest experiences with redesigned spaces like the Diamono music and mixology hub, the serene Jàmm, and the Ebene Café blending African and Californian influences. This project signifies Terrou-Bi's commitment to becoming a landmark not only for luxury stays but also as a representation of Senegalese craftsmanship on an international scale. Terrou-Bi features 167 rooms and suites, including 149 comfort rooms of 32m², 8 prestige rooms of 45m², and 6 suites.

🏖️ Regent Santa Monica Beach Hotel opened on October 1, 2024, near the 5.6-kilometer Santa Monica shoreline. The luxury hotel marks Regent's historic return to North America, featuring rooms of at least 67 square meters, rain showers, double vanities, and bathtubs. Guests can enjoy the Orla restaurant by renowned Chef Michael Mina, blending Mediterranean flavors with Californian cuisine, as part of Santa Monica's autumn offerings of culinary experiences, luxury stays, and seasonal events.

🏕 Mondrian, launched in 1996 in Los Angeles, expands with the Mondrian Gold Coast in Burleigh, Queensland, known for its eclectic vibe and surf culture. Chadi Farhat, director of operations, sees Australia as a strategic priority. The 24-story hotel, designed by Fraser & Partners, features 208 studios and residences with designs by Studio Carter, inspired by local white sandy beaches and coastal landscapes. The ground-floor restaurant, created by Alexander & Co, boasts a terrace blurring indoor-outdoor lines, complementing Burleigh's vibrant energy.

🏨 Accor partnered with Jadran Hotels Rijeka to bring the first Handwritten Collection hotel to Croatia, the 135-year-old Hotel Continental Rijeka, set to open in 2026 with 75 rooms. Handwritten Collection currently has 17 hotels in 11 countries, aiming to expand to 250 properties by 2030. Jadran Hotels Rijeka manages historic hotels in the region, enhancing the destination's reputation.

🎉 From November 14-22, 2024, Beachcomber hotels host Rum Fest Beachcomber 2024, partnering with RumFest Ltd. across eight locations in Mauritius. Celebrating over 350 years of Mauritian rum history, dating back to around 1630, the event features local producer meet-and-greets, rum tastings, gourmet dinners, and rum purchases at Beachcomber shops. Mauritian rums are renowned for quality, earning international awards and recognitions.

🏦 Oberoi Hotels & Resorts to open their first London establishment in Mayfair, within the South Molton mixed-use complex developed by Grosvenor. Construction started in November 2023, targeting completion by end of 2027. Located at 40-46 Brook Street near Bond Street station, the project includes an hotel, offices, housing, cafes, shops, restaurants, community, and leisure spaces. Estimated economic impact: £6.5 million annual spending in South Molton; 1,000 permanent jobs post-completion; 450 construction phase jobs and apprenticeships. Grosvenor partners with Mitsui Fudosan UK for two office buildings on Brook Street and Davies Street.

🏖️ The Camargue area near Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, owned by Jean-Pierre Marois, offers a 5-star lodge amidst a preserved enclave away from bustling civilization. This region, stretching from Arles to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer parallel to the Mediterranean, is characterized by its saline air, rice fields, marshes, and pastures. Home to grey-white Camargue horses, flamingos with geometric patterns in the sky, and solitary grey herons, it sits at the edge of the Parc Naturel Régional de Camargue, highlighting the importance of preserving endemic wildlife and upholding local traditions.

🏨 Hyatt Hotels Corporation launched Hyatt Centric Malta in St. Julian’s, the brand’s first in Malta. The 170-room hotel represents the seventh Hyatt Centric establishment in Europe, joining over 80 Hyatt properties in the Mediterranean. Located 11 km from UNESCO-listed Valletta, its design reflects Maltese history and traditions. Features include a local gastronomy-inspired restaurant, JUMU, a rooftop pool, wellness center with an indoor pool, Finnish sauna, gym, and 168 m² of event space. Hyatt Centric Malta signifies Hyatt’s growth in Mediterranean Europe.

🏨 Oberoi Hotels & Resorts will establish its first boutique luxury hotel in London's Mayfair at 40-46 Brook Street. Grosvenor received building restoration permission in 2022 for the 10,000 sqm property, part of the largest mixed-use development in the West End, which includes new offices, homes, cafes, shops, restaurants, and community and leisure spaces. An 80,000 sqm joint venture between Grosvenor and Mitsui Fudosan UK is central to the project. Construction began in November 2023, with completion expected by late 2027. Rachel Dickie of Grosvenor and Arjun Oberoi of the Oberoi Group have expressed excitement about this significant step in international growth.
