🏨 IHG will open its first hotel in Sarawak, the voco Kuching, in 2026 after a 16-year hiatus from Kuching. The 12-story mixed-use project is a collaboration with Malaysian developer Elica Equity Sdn Bhd. The rebranded Century Hotel will join IHG's fastest-growing premium brand, voco hotels, which has 80 hotels in the pipeline and 77 properties already open. Patrick Finn, IHG's VP of Development for Southeast Asia and Korea, highlights the significant impact this will have on Kuching and Sarawak's economies.

🏖 Sandaya to continue growth in 2024 with two new sites: Le P’tit Bois in Brittany and Le Domaine La Franqui. The group now boasts 64 sites across France, Spain, Belgium, and Italy, thanks to the recent acquisition of four sites in Venice and Tuscany. Camping Le P’tit Bois, a 5-star site in Brittany, occupies 7 hectares with 198 accommodations, 37 pitches, and is set for a €770,000 investment, including 22 new mobile homes, reopening under Sandaya on April 4, 2025. Le Domaine La Franqui, located on the La Franqui peninsula, offers direct access to a top kitesurfing beach and reopens April 4, 2025. Sandaya was founded in 2010 by François Georges and Xavier Guilbert.

🏨 In Madrid, Radisson Hotel Group announced the opening of their first Radisson Collection hotel set for 2027, located on the prestigious Alcalá Avenue in the Canalejas district. The luxury hotel will be housed in the iconic, historically classified Generali building. Federico J. González, Executive Vice President of Radisson Hotel Group, highlighted this project as a catalyst for growth in Spain, where they have 8 hotels operating and more announcements to come. The partnership with Generali signifies a strengthened cooperation following successful collaborations in Rome and Venice.

🏦 Hilton's luxury brand, Waldorf Astoria, is set to open its first hotel in Morocco with the upcoming Waldorf Astoria Rabat-Salé in 2025, occupying the top 18 floors of the 250-meter high Tour Mohammed VI, Morocco's tallest structure. Located in Rabat, the hotel will offer a panoramic view over Rabat, Salé, and the Atlantic Ocean, featuring 55 rooms, including 44 suites, a wellness center, ballroom, business lounge, and four restaurants. This aligns with Morocco’s tourism goals aiming to attract millions of visitors by 2030.

🏠 IHG Hotels & Resorts announced the addition of Vignette Collection with the opening of Union Han, Istanbul Karaköy, set for 2025. The hotel, owned by Cortex Turizm, will be IHG's 16th in Istanbul, featuring 51 rooms, an artisan bakery, all-day restaurant, and high-end wellness facilities including a spa. Part of IHG's broader expansion in Turkey, contributing to 45 hotels in the country, this move aims to grow Vignette Collection to 100 hotels in a decade, bolstering IHG's nearly 900 global luxury and lifestyle properties. Currently, IHG operates 32 hotels in Turkey with 13 under development.

🏨 Covivio finalized the restructuring of hotel asset ownership with AccorInvest, initiated at the end of 2023. Covivio now fully owns 43 hotels across France, Belgium, and Germany and transferred 16 hotels to AccorInvest in the same regions. Previously, Covivio held the walls of 54 AccorInvest-leased hotels and, through joint ventures created between 2010 and 2014, indirectly owned 60 more. The deals consolidate hotel ownership to achieve full control of both walls and business operations.

🏨 Atypio now manages 40 hotels and 26 restaurants with a revenue of approximately €150 million, thanks to a strategic partnership with Covivio. By December 2024, Atypio will add 12 new hotels in key locations like Île-de-France and Occitanie. Since 2018, Atypio has grown to include 8 urban farms managed by Agripolis, emphasizing innovation and sustainability in hospitality. Covivio Hotels benefits from Atypio's operational and strategic expertise to align with top market standards.

🏦 Radisson Hotel Group plans to open its first Radisson Collection hotel in Spain in 2027, located in Madrid's historical Generali building on Alcala street, Canalejas district. The Radisson Collection Madrid will feature 154 rooms and suites across 10 floors, including a rooftop terrace. The hotel will blend historical architecture with modern facilities. Currently, the group operates 8 hotels in Spain with this iconic project underway and more to be announced. Federico J. 🏨 W Hotels, part of Marriott Bonvoy's portfolio with over 30 iconic brands, announced the opening of W Prague in the Czech Republic, reviving the historical Grand Hotel Evropa in Art Nouveau style and marking the brand's debut in the country. Blending old-world opulence with contemporary and bold concepts, W Prague adds to Europe's luxury hospitality alongside recent openings like W Rome and W Budapest. Located in Wenceslas Square, the hotel combines Prague's rich history with modern design, diverse gastronomy, and refined service.
