🏡 Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the world's largest independent hotel brand, expands its portfolio by welcoming 24 new establishments across 14 countries, from July 1 to September 30, 2024. Loyalty program members can earn 2,500 bonus points on eligible stays for a limited time. Highlights include AJWA Cappadocia in Turkey, offering 62 rooms and suites within 37 hectares of gardens.

🏕️ Sandaya, a premium outdoor hotel operator, will add two new destinations by 2025: the 5* Le P’tit Bois in Saint-Malo and Domaine La Franqui in Leucate, reaching 60 campsites. In 2024, Sandaya's growth continues, now with 64 sites across France, Spain, Belgium, and Italy, including four exceptional acquisitions in Veneto and Tuscany. Le P’tit Bois, the 9th site in Brittany, is set on 7 hectares, offering 198 accommodations and 37 pitches, with a €770,000 investment planned.

🏨 Marriott Bonvoy's Four Points Flex by Sheraton expanded to London with the opening of its second city location, Four Points Flex by Sheraton London Shoreditch East, featuring 161 rooms. The hotel emphasizes comfort and convenience, offering amenities like a lobby lounge, all-day dining, and free Wi-Fi. Located near Bethnal Green metro station, guests can easily explore Shoreditch High Street, Columbia Road Flower Market, and Brick Lane Market. Cycas Hospitality manages the property.

🏨 Investment firms KKR and Baupost Group have formed a joint venture to acquire a portfolio of 33 Marriott International hotels in the UK from a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA). European vertically integrated hotel platform Amante Capital, part of KKR, will manage the partnership and continue operating the properties as upscale Marriott-brand hotels. The portfolio includes 6,500 keys and has undergone recent high-quality renovations, offering amenities for both business and leisure travelers across prime cities including London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, and Liverpool. This marks KKR's second investment with Marriott International in Europe, making them the largest owner of upscale Marriott hotels in the EMEA region.

🏦 Marriott International plans to open the Ritz-Carlton, Belgrade in Serbia in 2027, marking the first Ritz-Carlton property in the country. The hotel will feature 193 rooms and suites, two dining options, a club lounge, indoor pool, fitness center, spa, and over 1,700 square meters of event space. It will be located on Nikola Tesla Boulevard, near the Danube River, key business areas, cultural, and entertainment venues. The project is in collaboration with Danube Riverside d.o.o. Beograd.

🏦 Waldorf Astoria New York will start taking reservations from December 10 for stays in 2025. The hotel, restored by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, features interior design by Pierre-Yves Rochon, offering 375 rooms. The legendary property is set to open in spring 2025, located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, with the majority of rooms exceeding 50m2, blending historical elements with modern enhancements. General Manager Luigi Romaniello anticipates welcoming guests to create new memories at the iconic hotel.

🏡 Ritz-Carlton Belgrade, opening in Serbia's capital, by Marriott International, offers 193 rooms and suites, Ritz-Carlton Club, two restaurants, indoor pool, fitness center, spa, and over 1,700 sq m of event space. Project also includes residential and office towers, conference center, marina, and promenade. Marriott's Serbia portfolio currently has four properties including The St. Regis. Ivan Bošnjak of Danube Riverside doo Beograd collaborates on the development.

🏡 Dusit Princess Melaka, strategically located in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Melaka, marks Dusit's entry into the Malaysian market. Melaka is a growing global tourist destination with a unique heritage and health tourism blend. In September 2024, the region welcomed approximately 10 million visitors, surpassing its annual target of 8.7 million, primarily from key Asian markets like China and Singapore. The hotel, formerly Ramada Plaza Melaka, features 296 rooms, including Deluxe rooms and a presidential suite, all renovated and rebranded to reflect the Dusit Princess brand's distinctive upscale essence.

🏨 Covivio finalized the property restructuring process with AccorInvest by the end of 2023, now owning all 43 hotels in France, Belgium, and Germany and transferring 16 hotels to AccorInvest within the same regions. Before the transaction, mid-2024, Covivio Hotels owned the walls of 54 hotels under variable lease agreements with AccorInvest. Additionally, Covivio Hotels was indirectly an asset manager for 60 other hotels through 2 joint ventures, established between 2010 and 2014, one 80% owned by Crédit Agricole Assurances and 20% by Covivio Hotels, and the other by Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, Société Générale Assurances, and Covivio Hotels.
