🏦 L'Orient Express La Minerva, set to open in Rome by spring 2025, is the city's first Orient Express hotel located at Piazza della Minerva near the Pantheon. The hotel, once the 17th-century aristocratic Palazzo Fonseca, was acquired in 2021 by Arsenale SpA and redesigned by interior architect Hugo Toro. The Palazzo, built in 1620 and hotel-transformed in 1811, historically hosted figures like Stendhal and Herman Melville, and even Pope Pius IX.

🏨 HIS Group expands in Toulouse by acquiring Novotel Toulouse Purpan, Ibis Budget Toulouse Purpan, and Ibis Hotel Toulouse Airport, following Mercure Toulouse Sud in June 2024, building on their regional development since 2008. President Jean-Louis Zévaco, who opened Novotel Toulouse Purpan in December 1972 and became its director in 1977, leads the emotionally driven project. Funded by partner banks, HIS now has 25 establishments with 1770 rooms, anticipating €55 million in revenue by 2025, and expects to employ 500 staff.

🤗 AccorInvest sold its Brazilian hotel portfolio to investment bank BTG Pactual, focusing on their asset management plan to concentrate on economic and mid-range hospitality segments in Europe. Since 2021, AccorInvest has been streamlining its assets, following similar sales in Australia, Africa in 2021, and Japan in late 2023. The Brazilian portfolio included 22 properties across five states. AccorInvest announced an asset sale plan in early 2023, targeting 1.7 billion euros in disposals, prioritizing full ownership over leased hotels in Europe.

🏨 Choice Hotels EMEA and CPI Hotels announce the opening of the Clarion Hotel Vienna South, the first Clarion brand in Vienna, expanding their partnership with currently 14 hotels in Czech Republic and Slovakia. The Clarion Hotel Vienna South, situated in Wienerberg, features 201 rooms, a panoramic restaurant, and three conference rooms. This venture aims to increase their EMEA presence and attract more international travelers.

🏡 Mandarin Oriental announced full ownership of its luxury villa collection now named "Mandarin Oriental Exceptional Homes." Launched in 2022 with eight properties, the portfolio has grown to 25 villas and mansions worldwide, with expansion plans for Mediterranean, Alpine, and North American locations. CEO Laurent Kleitman highlighted the extension of the brand through unique villa experiences, aiming to broaden their client base and integrate perfectly with their hotel offerings for a combined stay experience.

🏨 Meliá Hotels International expands INNSiDE by Meliá brand to the Dominican Republic, targeting Punta Cana as a strategic location. Two franchised hotels are set to open in 2027: INNSiDE Punta Cana Downtown (290 keys) and INNSiDE Punta Cana Bay (186 keys). These will be Meliá's first franchised properties in the Caribbean, marking a significant step in its regional expansion. Currently, INNSiDE operates 45 hotels globally and caters to both leisure and business travelers, offering healthy drinks, yoga sessions, bike tours, modern gyms, and creative meeting spaces.

🏡 Cour des Loges Lyon, a Radisson Collection Hotel, is set to open in the first quarter of 2025 in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Vieux-Lyon after over two years of renovations. The hotel, Radisson Hotel Group's first Radisson Collection brand in France, will feature 61 uniquely designed rooms and suites, Renaissance style with modern touches, French craftsmanship, and exceptional services including a concierge awarded by Les Clefs d’Or.

🏖️ Jumeirah, a leader in luxury hospitality and part of Dubai Holding, teams up with Thanda to launch Jumeirah Thanda Island in Tanzania and Jumeirah Thanda Safari in South Africa. Jumeirah Thanda Island offers an exclusive villa in Tanzania's protected Shungimbili marine reserve, while Jumeirah Thanda Safari boasts prestigious residences, a private club, and a high-end camp in one of South Africa's most luxurious safari destinations, known for the "Big Five". This expansion aligns with Jumeirah’s strategy to diversify its clientele by venturing into new destinations and offering enriched experiences.
