🏖️ On February 15, 2025, the Meliá Pattaya Hotel, featuring 234 rooms, opened in Pattaya, Thailand. It's a 5-star complex with a rooftop restaurant, spa, kids' club, coworking spaces, and views of the Gulf of Thailand. Ignacio Martin, Meliá Hotels International's APAC Director, emphasized sustainable tourism, service, and hospitality. Javier Gimeno, hotel manager, is committed to offering Spanish hospitality and customer well-being. The hotel design reflects local history and features Cantonese cuisine and seafood, with room sizes ranging from 27 to 125 square meters.

🏨 London-based private equity firm Henderson Park acquired five Novotel Suites hotels in France, partnering with Parisian manager Atream. The portfolio consists of 645 rooms across Montreuil Vincennes, Issy-les-Moulineaux, Lille, Cannes, and Saint-Denis. Henderson Park now has approximately 11,000 hotel rooms in its European portfolio, across the UK, France, Greece, Ireland, Spain, and the US. Their real estate fund is valued at £2.1 billion, including UK DoubleTree by Hilton hotels and a Hilton Garden Inn in Dublin. In October, they sold the Grand Hyatt Athens for €235 million after acquiring and expanding it in 2017 from 315 to 548 rooms.

🏡 L'Hôtel des Châteaux, a 3-star, 27-room hotel with restaurant in Vallée des Rois near the UNESCO-listed Château d’Azay-le-Rideau, has been purchased by Immovation, led by Alain Fournier. The group, owning around 15 establishments in western France, plans significant investment for hotel upgrades and enhancing guest experience, with the acquisition facilitated by Fabrice Le Mouroux of Transaxio Hôtel and Sissel Thorstensen of Fan Worldwide France.

🏡 Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Shebandowan Holdings announced the first phase of the opening of Hotel La Compañía del Valle in Panama with 40 rooms and suites now available, and 30 more by May 2025. Located 80 km west of Panama City and 600 meters above sea level in a volcanic crater, La Compañía del Valle is part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, offering a new level of luxury in the Valle de Antón. CEO Ittai Savran views this acquisition as aligned with their growth strategy, adding a premium accommodation to their offerings. Founded in 2014 in Barcelona, Olala Homes now operates over 600 properties in eight countries and employs more than 150 people.
