🏖️ Minor Hotels, with 560 hotels globally, is partnering with YouChao International Tourism Hotel Co. Ltd. and Funyard Minor to develop Anantara Thousand Island Lake Resort, slated to open in October 2027 in Hangzhou on Qiandao Lake's shores, Zhejiang Province. The 36,000 sqm resort will feature 160 rooms ranging from 62 to 340 sqm, specialized restaurants, fitness center, pool, spa, and tea garden. Minor Hotels currently runs four hotels in China and aims to add 15 more within three years. Eddy Tiftik, VP at Minor Hotels, and Tang Wenyi, President of YouChao, anticipate the venture's regional economic boost and tourism potential exploitation. The resort will be 22 km from Qiandaohu Station and 150 km from Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport.

🏕 Marriott International plans to open two luxury safari camps in Kenya: The Ritz-Carlton, Masai Mara Safari Camp in August 2025, marking The Ritz-Carlton's debut in luxury safaris, and the second Kenyan safari camp for JW Marriott, in partnership with Lazizi Mara Limited and Lazizi Solio Limited of the Lazizi Group of Companies. The camps aim to redefine high-end luxury hospitality in some of Africa's most stunning safari destinations.

🏖️ Taner Kurt, with 20+ years in the hospitality sector, is the new Director of Mercure Ax-les-Thermes in Ax-les-Thermes, operated by Cité Hotels. The hotel, set on 2 hectares, includes the carefully restored Château de Villemur and a contemporary building. It offers two 100 m² family apartments, a bistronomic restaurant Le Fédou, and a lounge bar. The professional space spans 140 m².

Recently opened Citadines Almaz Casablanca with 61 apartments; Citadines Bab Tangier with 130 apartments expected in 2027 near Tangier airport. 🏖️ Handwritten Collection expands to Switzerland with the reopening of Hotel Meierhof Davos on April 1, 2025. The historic hotel, established in 1890, offers 37 rooms, a wellness area with steam bath, sauna, pool, and houses Davos' oldest restaurant, Jaron. Located near Parsenn ski lifts, it combines individual charm with Accor group benefits like the ALL loyalty program. 🏨 easyHotel secures a €29.2 million loan from CaixaBank for expansion in Spain, planning four low-carbon hotels in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, and Alicante. The second Madrid and Barcelona hotels are set to open by 2025, Valencia's first in the same period, and Alicante's in 2026. The easyHotel Madrid Alcalá opens on April 29, 2025, in San Blas, offering rooms from €75/night with quality amenities and 31 parking spaces, including four EV charging stations.

🌍 Ascott expands in Morocco with Citadines Almaz Casablanca now open, offering 61 units for business and leisure stays, and Citadines Bab Tangier scheduled for 2027 with 130 keys. The company's growth strategy aligns with the booming Moroccan tourism sector. 🏦 Fusion, a luxury hospitality brand, will open Dong Duong Hotel in former imperial capital Hué, Vietnam, in Q3 2025. Dong Duong will be Fusion's second establishment in Hué, featuring 161 rooms inspired by “Indochine” style, located on Hung Vuong street with views of Truong Tien bridge and UNESCO world heritage sites. The hotel will preserve historical style with modern elements, offering dining, spa treatments, wellness facilities, and MICE spaces for up to 250 guests.

🏨 Aleph Hospitality, a leading independent hotel management company in the Middle East and Africa, is set to expand in Ghana by adding The Address, an iconic hotel in Accra, to its portfolio. Owned by DevtracoPlus Limited, a top real estate company in Ghana, The Address is the second hotel entrusted to Aleph by DevtracoPlus, reflecting the owner's confidence in Aleph's management expertise. The Address is slated to open in 2026 and will feature 121 rooms and suites, a restaurant, a sky-view bar, a cigar lounge, a fully equipped fitness center, a swimming pool, and meeting rooms. Located in Roman Ridge, Accra's north, this mixed-use complex will offer luxury apartments with private pools. Over 60% of Aleph's current hotel owners have entrusted additional properties to their management, highlighting their proven expertise in the region.

🎭 Parc Astérix in France opens on April 5, 2025, with the new Les Fastes du Nil restaurant. Offers free entry for children under 12 from April 7 to May 7. Cétautomatix, a unique family attraction in Europe, will launch mid-May, adding to the park's 50 attractions and shows. The coaster, accessible to anyone over 1m, features rigorous tests with unpredictable accelerations and twists.
