🏡 Le Mouflon d’Or, a 5-star hotel in Alta Rocca, Corsica, will reopen on May 27 after years of renovation and a change in owners. Lise Canarelli and Anthony Bornea acquired the property, which was originally built by P.L.M. hotel company in the early 20th century, now set in a 19-hectare park with cedar and chestnut trees. The hotel's history includes serving Belle Époque elite and political exiles. Renovations preserved iconic elements like facades and chimneys.

🏡 In May 2025, Pierres d’Histoire will open the Domaine de Richebourg in the Yvelines, Ile-de-France. As the 10th exceptional estate of the leading hospitality operator dedicated to heritage preservation, the 17th-century mill is set within a three-hectare natural environment. The estate embodies the brand's vision of places where history meets the present, offering elegance, comfort, and authenticity. The Domaine de Richebourg offers 11 refined houses for unique stays.

🍝 Big Mamma Group expands in Europe with Gloria Osteria's opening in Barcelona's Eixample district, following launches in Monaco, Hamburg, and London. The new venue features a 1970s-inspired immersive design with Murano chandeliers and Jacopo Foggini's sculptural lighting, offering a two-story space with a sunny terrace. Executive Chef Daniele Tasso's menu showcases Italian classics with ingredients from over 170 Italian artisans, including truffles from Piedmont and DOP-aged Parmigiano Reggiano. Reservations are now open for the venue aiming to become a key player in Barcelona's vibrant gastronomic scene.

🏨 SCPI Atream Hôtels acquired Ruck Hôtel in Lyon's Gerland district. The 16-year fixed-term lease is with GL Events. The hotel enjoys proximity to Gerland Stadium and LOU Rugby, offering 134 rooms, meeting spaces, workrooms, and a 400 m² bistro restaurant. It's under a 60-year Administrative Emphyteutic Lease (BEA) with Lyon, starting January 2024. The hotel hosted New Zealand's rugby team during the 2023 Rugby World Cup, showcasing its appeal for sports events.

🏨 Hospitality ON reveals a non-exhaustive list of the most awaited hotel openings internationally, including a map of new hotels opened in the last 10 days, featuring their location, photos, and key information. Hotels are color-coded: yellow for openings this week; blue for announced openings happening later in the year; green for rebrandings opened this week; orange for signed hotel projects set to open in the future.

🏖️ IHG® Hotels & Resorts announced a management agreement with So Hotels LLP for the development of the InterContinental Kasauli, set to open in Q1 2029. The luxury resort in North India's Shivalik hills, near Chandigarh and Shimla, will offer Himalayan views and cater to leisure travelers and corporate events, including MICE. 🏨 In March 2025, The Originals Hotels added two new members to its network, expanding its presence in the North and South of France. The 3-star Hôtel Cap Maya in Cap d'Agde, with 40 rooms, recently underwent a rebranding and refurbishment. Located near the port, beach, and convention center, it joined The Originals Network in April 2025. The 2-star Hôtel Moustache in Seclin, close to Lille, built in 1993 with 59 rooms featuring a street art facade and a cocooning style, also became part of the group.

Built on a former 1912 auto garage, it features bold contemporary architecture and an interior design that pays homage to industrial heritage and local culture. Australian designer Simone Haag and multidisciplinary artist Raukura Turei contribute to the hotel's unique aesthetic, while Stuart Robertson's photographic exhibition, "Peace in 10,000 Hands," gives a contemporary insight into Auckland's soul. Managed by Mathew Simister, Hotel Indigo Auckland deeply integrates Auckland's history, art, and culture into every aspect of the hotel, providing an authentic connection to the neighborhood.

🏡 La Dolce Vita Orient Express, the first luxury train entirely designed in Italy, was unveiled at the Roma Ostiense station. The inauguration ceremony marked the beginning of a new travel era with eight meticulously crafted routes featuring millennia-old culture, scenic landscapes, and cuisine by three-star Michelin chef Heinz Beck. The train's inaugural journey, "Voyage through the Tuscan vineyards," starts on April 4th, taking passengers to Montalcino. 🏡 Grand Metropolitan Hotels, led by CEO Martin R. Smura, acquired Voile d’Or Hotels and Resorts, founded in 1925 on the Côte d’Azur. The acquisition includes brand rights, intellectual property, and management contracts for six luxury properties in London, Paris, New York, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Saint-Barth, and Courchevel. The iconic Hotel La Voile d’Or is set to reopen in 2029. Jacques Oudinot is appointed as CEO while Édouard Deschepper joins as an administrator, with plans for expansion to the Maldives, Dubai, and Lisbon.
