🏨 In 2024, B&B Hotels Central & Northern Europe recorded a 16% revenue increase and added 47 new hotels, expanding its portfolio by 23% to 255 properties and over 26,000 rooms. Germany remains the top market with 225 hotels, contributing €446 million, marking a 16% growth. Expansion included 42 new German hotels and acquisitions from AccorInvest. Growth also occurred in Poland, the Netherlands, and Denmark.

🍽 The Festival des Etoilés Monte-Carlo, an annual gastronomy event in Monaco, returns on April 10, 2025. Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, Europe's resort with 7 Michelin stars and over 30 restaurants and bars, celebrates 162 years. The festival's opening will be at the Grill on the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo's top, where Executive Chef Dominique Lory, who worked with Pierre Gagnaire 25 years ago, will host him.

📍 India's outbound tourism market is projected to reach $55 billion by 2034, with a CAGR of 11.4% over the next decade, per Future Market Insights. The country's hotel supply has grown by over 3% CAGR, adding 114,000 rooms in the last ten years. At the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, India's presence has increased by 41% year-over-year, showcasing top airlines, tourist destinations, and tourism offices. ATM takes place from April 28 to May 1 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

🏀 Hôtels Barrière partners with Lagardère Paris Racing to launch Échappées Sportives, a sports retreat at L'Hermitage in La Baule, set for spring 2025. The program offers yoga, padel, fitness, and tennis retreats from April 13 to 25, 2025, including coaching, relaxation sessions, cooking classes, water sports, and cycling. Aimed at families with Kid’s Club activities, it reinforces Barrière's commitment to sports and wellness. The Barrière Group, led by Joy Desseigne-Barrière and Alexandre Barrière, founded in 1912, now comprises 32 casinos, 1 gaming club, 19 luxury hotels, and over 150 restaurants and bars, including the renowned Fouquet’s.

🏨 Stefan Ludwig appointed as General Manager of The Mansard, part of Miiro hotel group since December 2024. Ludwig, with 26 years of experience and a career with Ritz-Carlton, Kempinski, Fairmont, and Almanac Hotels, takes over on April 1, 2025. Previously, he enhanced sales, marketing, and product launches at Gstaad Palace. His new role aims to solidify The Mansard as a premier luxury destination in Gstaad, supporting Miiro's brand expansion. Martin Bieri will hand over responsibilities on April 1, 2025.

🏖️ During 2023/24, Salzburg welcomed 8,039,706 tourists, with Vienna close behind at 8,033,621 arrivals. Austria's tourism sector thrived due to a developed hospitality infrastructure, increased air passenger traffic, and diverse accommodation options, impacting hotel performance metrics like RevPAR, occupancy, and ADR.

Scott Fitzgerald's "Tender Is the Night" and the 100th anniversary of "The Great Gatsby," published April 10, 1925. The event marks a century since F. 🍴 In 2025, Mandarin Oriental, Paris will launch "Les Semaines Culinaires" at the Sur Mesure restaurant, featuring starred chefs from around the world. Confirmed chefs include Italian Antonio Guida, with 3 Michelin stars from Mandarin Oriental hotels in Milan and Zurich, and French Michelin-starred Fréderic Doucet, owner of Maison Doucet in Charolles, offering modern cuisine with local Charolais products.
