Un 7e site jordanien rejoint la liste du Patrimoine Mondial de l’UNESCO : Umm al-Jimal
🏫 Jordan's archaeological site Umm al-Jimal, known as the "Black Petra" for its basalt architecture, has been added to UNESCO's World Heritage List, announced at the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee. This makes it the seventh Jordanian site on the list, alongside renowned sites like Petra and the Wadi Rum desert. Founded in the 1st century A.D., Umm al-Jimal's complex water management system reflects the ingenuity of the Nabateans in the Mafraq region, northeast Jordan.
