Porté par l’international, le trafic passagers de Nice Côte d’Azur progresse
📍 In July and August 2024, Nice Côte d'Azur Airport saw a 3.7% increase in passenger traffic compared to 2023, with airplane movements up 2%. The airport featured a record 13 long-haul routes, contributing to its role as a gateway for international visitors. During these months, 3.46 million passengers passed through Terminals 1 and 2, with a peak of 63,041 passengers on August 2. Planes, mostly latest generation, had an average fill rate of 86%. Despite reaching summer 2019 traffic levels, infrastructure saturation was an issue, which the planned adaptation of Terminal 2 aims to address by next summer, as stated by Franck Goldnadel, President of the Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur board.
