🏖 Alliance France Tourisme reported in autumn 2024 a 5-point increase in Paris bookings for Notre-Dame's reopening weekend. Aéroports de Paris saw a 3.1% passenger increase in September and SNCF Voyageurs' traffic rose by 7% during Toussaint. However, accommodations' revenue fell by 3.8% in hotels and 3.3% in tourist residences. Occupation rates dropped by 1.7 points compared to 2023 and 2 points from September 2022.

🏨 Amanda Hyndman appointed as Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group's Chief Operating Officer, effective November 1, 2024, succeeding Christoph Mares upon his retirement. Hyndman, with over 30 years in luxury hospitality and 18 years at Mandarin Oriental, has held leadership roles in the UK, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Washington DC, and was Group Director of Quality & Room in 2020, and Chief People & Culture Officer in May 2023.

🏠 During the European Week for the Employment of People with Disabilities, the UMIH 01 (Union des Métiers de l'Hôtellerie-Restauration de l'Ain) promotes the "Saveurs Solidaires – Des étoiles vers l’emploi" initiative. Two chefs from UMIH 01 lead a "Recruit Differently" campaign targeting job seekers with disabilities. Candidates and recruiters participate anonymously in a cooking workshop, making a starter, main course, and dessert, followed by rapid networking sessions post-reveal at coffee. The objective is to uncover candidates' potential and positively address disability.
