Avec son « HyperTube », la Corée du Sud relance l’hyperloop
🚀 South Korea launched the "Hypertube" project in April 2025, with an initial investment of 12.7 billion won (€8.1 million) to develop technology akin to Elon Musk's 2013 hyperloop concept. The Korean version aims for trains traveling at 1200 km/h using magnetic levitation and low-pressure tubes. Despite China's earlier MagLev launch in 2021 and Japan's delayed Shinkansen Chūō, South Korea's expertise in electric motors, low-pressure tubes, and superconducting electromagnets positions it competitively. Prototypes will be tested until 2037, targeting Hypertube service commencement in 2038.
