United Airlines mise sur le fuselage intégré de JetZero
🚀 United Airlines, through its investment arm United Airlines Ventures, has committed to a substantial order of JetZero's integrated fuselage (BWB) aircraft, with an actual-scale demonstration flight planned for 2027. The potential order includes 100 aircraft, with an option for 100 more. JetZero received $235 million in funding from the U.S. Defense Department in 2023 to support reaching the demonstration milestone. The JetZero Z4 model is expected to cut fuel consumption by 50% per passenger. Delta also partnered with JetZero in March as part of its greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals. United's interest in BWB aligns with its ambition to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. United Airlines Ventures also explores hybrid electric, hydrogen-fueled aircraft, and eVTOL technologies.
