For the 52 weeks ending February 27, 2025, revenue slightly down by 1% to £2.92 billion, with Premier Inn UK sales dropping 3% to £2.69 billion. Adjusted profits fell 14% to £483 million, statutory pre-tax profits down 19% to £368 million. To boost growth, 1,000-1,200 new UK rooms planned, converting 112 branded restaurants into hotel rooms, alongside a £250 million share buyback program.

Tristan Capital Partners rachète EasyHotel

🌞 The first May bank holiday in France sees a surge in reservation rates, up by 8.5%. Paris leads with a 17.5% increase, followed by eastern Mediterranean coast (14.5%) and western Mediterranean coast (11.8%). Predicted near-summer temperatures by France Météo are driving travelers to coastal destinations. This holiday is expected to be the best weather-wise among May 2025 bank holidays. Inland South-West and non-coastal, non-Parisian metropolitan areas also enjoy an 8.5%-8.9% rise. However, Northern France's Brittany coast and North Atlantic front experience declines of 11.5% and 7.4%, respectively, whereas the English Channel coast bookings rise by 3.4%. Despite a less favorable trend for the second May holiday, Paris still sees a 4.1% increase.

Energy expenses are primarily from heating (31%), hot water (17%), air conditioning (15%), and lighting (12%). Guests typically use 300 liters of water per hotel night, double their home usage. The "décret tertiaire" mandates a 60% energy consumption reduction in tertiary buildings by 2050, with a -40% target for 2030. As of 5 years before 2030, only 40% of French hoteliers have implemented energy efficiency measures, but 90% have switched to LED lighting to cut electricity use.

Schroders Capital finalise l’acquisition de l’hôtel W Edinburgh
