Construction of the first hotel in Georgetown, Texas, will start in Q4 2025, with a second in Scottsdale, Arizona, scheduled for Q2 2026. Launched in 2023, Hyatt Studios is Hyatt's first upper-midscale brand for extended stays, offering apartment-style suites with kitchens, free high-speed internet, electric vehicle charging, 24/7 market, laundry, fitness studio, and pet-friendly spaces. Jim Chu, Hyatt’s Director of Growth, expresses enthusiasm for the partnership, aligning with Hyatt's expansion strategy to appeal to owners and travelers.

Financed by Citigroup and affiliates of KSL Capital Partners, the exact transaction amount remains undisclosed. The Ritz-Carlton also includes 188 luxury residential units and consistently ranks among Miami's top travel destinations by Conde Nast Traveler, Forbes, and U.S. News & World Report. Gencom's founder, Karim Alibhai, remarked on reclaiming control of the property they co-developed in 2000, with plans to maintain its leadership position.
