🏦 Sascha Lenz began his career in 1999 at Starwood Hotels and Resorts, joining Mandarin Oriental in 2004 in Hawaii, moving to Hong Kong in 2005. He joined Hyatt in 2007 at Grand Hyatt Berlin, moved to Russia in 2009, and was part of the London 2012 Summer Olympics team at Andaz Hyatt. After 4 years in London, spent 5 years at Park Hyatt Chennai as GM, and has now joined Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok with 380 rooms and nine dining outlets.

🏨 Minor Hotels, a global hospitality leader with over 550 properties in 56 countries, has announced plans to launch its Avani Hotels & Resorts brand in Singapore, marking the group's entry into the country. The upscale 13-story hotel is set to open in the first quarter of 2027 at 24 Peck Seah Street, in the lively Tanjong Pagar district, minutes from the Central Business District and Chinatown. The hotel, developed in partnership with Kajima Development and Abu Dhabi-based Alwathba Investment, will offer 200 keys and is located less than 200 meters from Tanjong Pagar MRT station.

The luxury hotel, envisioned as an 18th-century royal residence amidst lush gardens by the sea, is located minutes from Rabat-Salé Airport (30 minutes), Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca (90 minutes), and major train stations with high-speed connections to Casablanca (45 minutes) and Tangier (80 minutes). General Manager Gregory Viaud anticipates introducing the transformed family-friendly hotel and its personalized services to both locals and visitors.

🏖 Hilton announced the signing of the Hilton Georgetown and DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Georgetown, marking the company's first presence in Guyana. Owned by an Assets Group subsidiary and managed by Hilton, the combined 411 rooms will be part of a mixed-use business and entertainment complex on the waterfront in the country's capital. With this strategic move, Hilton continues its rapid expansion in the Caribbean and Latin America, where it currently operates over 225 hotels. In the coming years, Hilton aims to enter eight new countries and territories in the region, including Bermuda and Paraguay in 2024 and Guyana in 2027. The 11-story Hilton Georgetown will offer 253 premium rooms and suites, featuring a lobby bar and a signature restaurant with local-inspired cuisine. The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Georgetown will feature 158 contemporary suites designed for comfort and connectivity. Hilton's investment reflects confidence in Guyana's significant growth and promising future in tourism and hospitality.
