Education, Singapour | L’emblématique école hôtelière SHATEC* ferme ses portes après 42 années
🏛 SHATEC, a Singapore hospitality institution, is closing after 42 years and training over 40,000 students. Progressive suspension began in April 2025, confirmed by a March 27 email from director Margaret Heng. Final courses end by early 2026. Founded in 1983 by the Singapore Hotel Association, it served pre-employment and career-switch students. The decision, termed a "business containment exercise," stems from a non-viable economic model post-January 2025 governance change.
