🏠 Stéphane Rigaud, after nearly two years leading the Intercontinental Bora-Bora, returns to France to manage Six Senses Residences & SPA Courchevel, comprising 53 apartments. He began his career with IHG, later joining Disney in 2003, and Hyatt in 2008, becoming Hotel Manager at Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile in 2015. In January 2023, Rigaud rejoined IHG in Polynesia amidst an economic recovery.

Groupe Accor, Afrique du Nord | Hamid Bentahar en partance, une page se tourne pour Accor au Maroc

🏠 Hamid Bentahar, after a 35-year career with Accor and serving as President of Accor Afrique Services and Accor Gestion Maroc, is leaving his operational roles but will advise the group as an external consultant. Throughout his tenure, he held key positions in Turkey, Greece, and Tunisia, and led the group in Morocco. Bentahar was awarded the Gold Medal for Tourism in 2010 and the Legion of Honour in 2016. Accor, coinciding with his departure, is restructuring its Moroccan operations into two divisions: Luxury and Lifestyle, and Premium, Midscale, and Economy. Bentahar's position will not be replaced, marking a new phase for Accor in Morocco.

🏨 easyHotel Marseille Euromed opened with 111 keys. easyHotel announces new establishment, easyHotel Ferney-Voltaire, set to open in early 2027 as part of a development series including six confirmed hotels and a record number of projects under exploration. easyHotel's current portfolio includes 49 hotels across Europe, with locations in France (Marseille, Nice, Paris Charles de Gaulle Villepinte, Paris Nord Aubervilliers), the UK, BENELUX, Spain, Switzerland, and the rest of Europe. easyHotel Ferney-Voltaire will be the fourth in France and sixth in the Swiss region, adding to the four franchised hotels in Zurich and one in Bâle. easyHotel achieved a record turnover exceeding 100 million euros in 2023, with record customer numbers, and aims to continue growth by increasing openings in major European cities.

Ouverture 2028, Londres, UK | Oberoi Hotels & Resorts va s’installer à Mayfair

🏨 Oberoi Hotels & Resorts will establish its first boutique luxury hotel in London's Mayfair at 40-46 Brook Street. Grosvenor received building restoration permission in 2022 for the 10,000 sqm property, part of the largest mixed-use development in the West End, which includes new offices, homes, cafes, shops, restaurants, and community and leisure spaces. An 80,000 sqm joint venture between Grosvenor and Mitsui Fudosan UK is central to the project. Construction began in November 2023, with completion expected by late 2027. Rachel Dickie of Grosvenor and Arjun Oberoi of the Oberoi Group have expressed excitement about this significant step in international growth.

Monde | L’hôtelier Scott Woroch intègre le conseil d’administration de Mandarin Oriental International Limited

📌 Scott Woroch, with over 30 years of luxury hospitality experience, was appointed following the August 1st, 2024 nominations of Cristina Diezhandino and Fabrice Megarbane at Mandarin Oriental, a global luxury hotel group. Previously, Woroch held high-level development positions at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts for 15 years. The new appointments, including Woroch, aim to bolster Mandarin Oriental's strategy and governance structure, with the Board now comprising 50% independent non-executive directors. Chairman Ben Keswick of Jardine Matheson, Mandarin Oriental’s parent company, praised Scott's global hotel development expertise and its enhancement to the Board's capabilities.

🏦 The Westin Paris Vendôme, owned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's Dubai Holding since early 2023, will close on April 31, 2025, for renovations. Reopening is not expected before 2028. In 2021, a social plan led to 167 layoffs. The renovation costs for the 1878-built hotel are estimated at around €1 billion. Speculations suggest Jumeirah or Accor might become the future operators.

He's also responsible for aligning specialized Excelia schools with the group's strategy and fostering growth.
