Réouverture de Notre-Dame : les technologies qui ont permis sa reconstruction

  • Julia Luczak-Rougeaux
  • 5 décembre 2024
🏫 Notre-Dame de Paris reopens after the April 15, 2019 fire, thanks to technologies like LiDAR, 3D modeling, and 3D printing. A "digital twin" 1:1 scale model was created using lasergrammetry and terrestrial/aerial photogrammetry. Art Graphique et Patrimoine scanned the structure building a detailed 3D database, used by architects, engineers, and archaeologists for a precise restoration. Drones mapped inaccessible areas post-fire, and new algorithms with 3D printing were employed for complex parts. • Julia Luczak-Rougeaux
  • 3 décembre 2024
📅 In the study "IA GÉNÉRATIVE: S’UNIR OU SUBIR," experts warn that AI generative growth heralds a major shift: agentification in tourism. Arno Pons, Secretary-General of Digital New Deal, emphasizes the importance of data-rich language models (LLMs) and advises tourism businesses to jointly develop a sector-specific LLM to avoid being squeezed by dominant "Big Tech" and "Big AI" firms. EONA-X is identified as a data-sharing initiative giving the tourism sector a competitive edge. A consortium called Gen4Travel, including Accor, ADP, Atout France, Themis-X, and Alltheway, is developing a travel assistant leveraging data portability from My Travel Connect service.
