💸 March 2025: Mews raises €68M to expand in North America. Hands In secures €1.1M for payment solutions. Pangea Aerospace obtains €23M for aerospace R&D. HolaCamp and GaiaRooms each raise €10M for digital transformation and connected accommodations. Ditto garners €68M for edge computing growth. In total, over €180M raised by six startups for travel industry innovation and expansion.

🏠 Google enhances Search, Maps, Lens, and Gemini services with AI for travel planning and logistics, including itineraries and points of interest. Hotel price tracking now alerts users to price drops, similar to Chrome's Price Tracker. Users can export info via Gmail or Docs, and save routes in Maps. Maps adds a feature to search for places from photos, starting on iOS. Gemini introduces Gems, an AI travel assistant, and Lens now provides oral answers about landmarks in photos. These features are currently available in the U.S. market.

🚲 Passman's Passenergy, awarded the Innovation prize at 2025 Food Hotel Tech, helps hotels over 1000m2 target a 40% energy bill reduction by 2030. This IoT solution, involving 4 sensors per room, can cut energy costs by 7-12% by reducing temperature by 1-2 degrees. Installation costs are covered by Energy Saving Certificates, promising returns from the first month. The average energy saving with Passenergy is between 20-30%. Challenges included creating a user-friendly, cost-effective product that works across heating systems and developing long-life (5-year) batteries. Passenergy also collects data for predictive maintenance, saving more energy, and is expanding to monitor water use. It’s already in use by various hotel chains and independent hotels.

Les robots-taxis de Waymo rouleront à Washington en 2026
