🏠 2E PRIX DES HÔTEL & LODGE AWARDS 2024, CATÉGORIE PRESTIGE won by "palace des vignes" near Bordeaux. Owners Alice and Jérôme Tourbier also own Sources de Cheverny. The resort features 61 rooms and suites, a 1500 m² Caudalie spa, a Michelin-starred restaurant La Grand’Vigne, and art from Jim Dine, Barry Flanagan, and Mathilde de l’Ecotais. Les Sources de Caudalie received the European Ecolabel in June 2023 and will celebrate ten years under the Palace label next year.

🌍 A globe-trotter fluent in six languages has settled in various locations including Venice, Rio de Janeiro, and currently Gabon with his family. Founded in 2005, his publishing house specializes in guides to unique and secret places. As a jury member for the Hôtel & Lodge Awards 2024, he appreciates the modern design of recently opened hotels and values a hotel's location, aesthetics, charm, atmosphere, history, size, human touch, and service quality. He enjoys personalized touches like receiving a printed daily newspaper in his language, local recommendations, and the luxury of a prepared bath with flower petals, citing North Island in the Seychelles as an example.

🐅 Sasaab, a nine-tent camp in Kenya's Samburu National Reserve, won the 2nd Prize at the Hotel & Lodge Awards 2024 in the Lodge category. Guests at Sasaab not only enjoy the "big five" and "special five" animals but also engage in Safari Collection's conservation and community education efforts. The camp offers 100m² luxury thatched-roof tents with pools and outdoor bathrooms, styled in Swahili-Moroccan fashion, plus a spa and immersive excursions. 🏆

🏛 Relais & Châteaux, celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2024, constitutes 580 members across 65 countries, serving roughly 1.5 million epicurean clients. Recent additions include Paris's Hôtel Balzac, Portugal's Vermelho by Christian Louboutin, and South Africa's Silvan Safari Lodge. Under President Laurent Gardinier, a new manifesto outlining a 10-year strategy is underway, focusing on network growth, quality maintenance, and sustainable development, responding to the significant demand for environmentally conscious luxury travel.

Open last summer, the hotel features a colorful palette and hidden garden extending Golden Poppy, a restaurant by three Michelin-starred French chef, Dominique Crenn.
