Une nouvelle étape attendue dans la propriété du groupe easyHotel

🏨 Founded in England in 2004, easyHotel has a network of 49 hotels across 11 countries with plans to expand to several hundred by 2030. About a third of its hotels are in the UK. The chain includes 17 franchised hotels with 1,250 rooms, and 32 owned or leased hotels with over 3,500 rooms. Shareholders ICAMAP and Ivanhoé Cambridge, holding 79%, tasked NM Rothschild & Sons to find a new partner last year. Dutch pension fund PGGM, which partnered with L+R Hotels in 2022 to create LRO Hospitality aiming for €1 billion investments in European hotel real estate, is likely to take over.

🏃 Nathalie Delattre, French Minister of Tourism, visited the Pullman Paris Centre-Bercy for the 20th anniversary of the Disability Law, advocating France as an exemplary tourist destination for people with disabilities. The Pullman is accredited with the Tourism & Handicap Label, servicing all four types of disabilities. Athletes Hakim Arezki, an Accor employee and Paralympic gold medalist, and Ryadh Sallem, a multi-sport wheelchair athlete, were present. Accor Group's Deputy General Manager Jean-Jacques Morin revealed that 6% of Accor employees have a disability, 80% of which are not apparent. Accor has 400 hotels with the Tourism & Handicap Label and is committed to further improvements.

🏕 RockyPop, a hybrid hotel concept born in the mountains near Chamonix, has expanded to Flaine and descended to Grenoble with an urban formula, eyeing a new opening in Marseille by summer 2025. Created by Assas Hotels, founded by Romain Trollet, an expert in mountain hospitality and a graduate of the École Hôtelière de Lausanne, RockyPop offers a blend of hostel and friend-shared accommodation. Trollet, who managed his first hotel at 25 and led Temmos Hotels at 27, grew Assas Hotels with savvy real estate investments, partnering with ExtendAM from RockyPop's inception.

Despite the COVID crisis affecting the sector into 2022, under Bailly's charge, the Southern Europe division, with 1,900 hotels, continued to open a new hotel every four days.
